Tour Guides

Our wonderful team of experienced Classic England tour guides have many roles.

Firstly, they impart their knowledge in an interesting, professional and entertaining way. All our guides are passionate about all England has to offer. They will help you make the most of your England tour and they are there to surprise and amuse you as you travel. We choose our guides for their high degree of academic and business experience combined with excellent interpersonal skills.

Secondly, we believe that each England tour should be flexible and adapted to your needs as you travel. Each guide will skilfully drive you to the places outlined on your personal itinerary. However, each has sufficient skills to offer alternative places of interest including special places to eat and destinations off the beaten track where even the locals don't know.

Lastly, each England tour guide is there to help you make sure your private tour runs as smoothly as possible. This will include liaising with the hotels, possibly booking your meals or theatre performances. Your party will be of the utmost importance to the guide.

Jeremy

Jeremy was born in England’s most beautiful region, the Cotswolds. His diverse work history has taken him from the dynamic work of intellectual law to the demanding environment as a school principal. He is always popular with people of all ages and has a huge variety of interests from hunting and fishing to food and drink.

Stan

Being London born and bred, Stan has been a Blue Badge driver / guide for 5 years. He has had many distinguished careers including running a pub (which makes him an expert on beer) to running his own computer company. With a keen interest in literature and particularly in Harry Potter and Winston Churchill. Other interests include acting and golf.

Brian

Brian was born in England’s south west and he specializes in touring in this area which includes Bath and Cornwall. With a career in higher education, Brian is able to communicate with people of all ages and he also works in the world famous Roman Baths. He likes to travel and has been to the four corners of the globe. Other interests include Rugby and good food.

Tim

Tim has been a blue badge guide for 5 years and has lived in London all his life. He was once a member of the Royal protection squad with links to the very famous, Tim has many entertaining stories to tell. He is very keen on history and is one of the few guides able to take visitors to the new site of the London 2012 Olympics.

Robert

Roberts outstanding ability to speak with his clients was recognized in the 2008 best performance prize for a Blue Badge Guide. With a background in music and the arts, Robert has travelled the world with the London Symphony Chorus. He has been a museum guide for over 10 years.

Stephen

Living in York, Stephen is a former chief executive of a major engineering firm in Europe. He is fluent in French and German and has travelled the globe both for business and pleasure. He enjoys music and has enjoys walking the hills of northern England.
