You will then have a few hours to explore by yourself, to go punting or visit the world famous museums. WARWICK CASTLE is the best preserved medieval castle in England. Day 2: Stratford - Cotswolds - Hidcote
STRATFORD-UPON-AVON is the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Anne Hathaway was Shakespeare’s wife and her COTTAGE is the perfect English thatched cottage. In the town, there there are 4 other houses associated with the great bard. For the rest of the day, we travel through THE COTSWOLDS. This most quintessentially English of regions has beautiful villages presenting an exquisite view of England. The best garden in England is generally regarded as HIDCOTE MANOR. This is a spectacular arts and crafts garden created as a number of outdoor rooms each with their own plants and features.

Day 3: Cotswolds - Dyrham Park
Discovering more of the picturesque Cotswold villages like THE SLAUGHTERS, BROADWAY and STOW-ON-THE-WOLD. In the picture perfect village of SNOWSHILL, is a wonderfully Cotswolds manor. Inside this beautiful house is an eccentric collection of local and national artefacts. Still travelling south is BIBURY – described as the most beautiful village in England. DYRHAM PARK is a glorious country estate, built at the beginning of the C18th. The interior has changed little since it was built and surrounding parks offers marvellous views of the Cotswold Hills.

Day 4: Bath - Roman Baths - Lacock
We will discover the World Heritage City of BATH with a walking tour. You will see the 3 phases of architecture that make this city so unique: Queens Square, the Circus and Royal Crescent. At it's heart are the ROMAN BATHS, Britain’s only hot springs at a temperature of 46C. Close by is the ABBEY, last gothic church to be built in England. You then have free time to visit some of the attractions or shops. 30 minutes away is LACOCK, a whole village preserved as it was over 200 years ago. Lacock ABBEY was also the birthplace of modern photography as the home of William Fox Talbot and was featured in the Harry Potter films.

Day 5: Stonehenge - Avebury - Oxford
The largest pre-historic stone circles surviving in England is, AVEBURY. Built over 4500 years ago, the stones form a series of ceremonial avenues and are surrounded in mystery. Close by is SILBURY HILL, a man made hill once believed to be higher than the pyramids and the LONG BARROW is a prehistoric burial site into which you can walk. 22 miles south is Stonehenge, an awe inspiring stone circle and one of the wonders of the world. Built in stages over 1500 years, our tour will bring the stones to life. Finally we head to OXFORD, England’s premier seat of learning and a fantastic ending to our tour.
