Staying about an hour from London, at the grand stately home, the tour explores the local area visiting the university city of Oxford, the incomparable architecture of Bath, the beautiful countryside of the Thames Valley, the Queen’s weekend home Windsor and a day in the planet’s greatest city; London. On each day, you will eat at some great places such as the Fat Duck and Le Manoir aux Quat Saison.

Itinerary

OXFORD is England’s premier seat of learning. Most of the British Prime Ministers studied at one of the many colleges and we will discover the stories behind them and, a few famous students from overseas, such as Bill Clinton. After lunch at one of the cities many fine restaurants, we travel a little further west in the Oxfordshire COTSWOLDS. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty with many picturesque village s and towns. On the way back to the hotel is LE MANOIR AUX QUAT SAISON. This is the restaurant of Raymond Blanc – the 2 Michelin star television chef.

Day 1: Oxford - Cotswolds - Dinner

A very full day with a spectacular start - a trip by HELICOPTER to London to see the city from the air. Taking an east – west route you will see all the famous sites of this great city from the Tower to Westminster. Alighting at one of the city’s heliports, LUNCH will be at Vertigo in Tower 42 – the City of London’s tallest building with spectacular views of the area. In the afternoon, you will have the choice to sightseeing attractions of your choice or go shopping in wonderful places like HARRODS. Lastly, a THEATRE performance of your choice. London has incomparable theatre and you will get the best seats.

Cliveden sits on the River Thames. A PRIVATE BOAT will meander through the glades finally stopping at town of Windsor and the CASTLE. This is the largest inhabited castle in the world and the Queens weekend home. Arguably, one of the most opulent houses in England, within the grounds are St Georges Chapel and the Queens’ Staterooms. We will then head back and stop for AFTERNOON TEA. Web can then tour some of the lovely Thameside towns or visit a local vineyard to taste English WINE. DINNER tonight will be at one of the World's few Michelin 3 star restuarants close to the hotel.

Day 4: Bath - Pump Rooms - Balloon Flight

A short drive will take us to the World Heritage City of BATH. A walking tour will epxlore the three phases of Georgian architecture that make this city so unique including the Circus and Royal Crescent. At the heart of the city are the ROMAN BATHS, Britain’s only hot springs at a temperature of 46C. Close by is the ABBEY, the last gothic church to be built in England. LUNCH with be in the classic PUMP ROOMS. You then have free time to visit attractions like the JANE AUSTEN CENTRE or shops. This evening you will have a BALLOON FLIGHT over Bath to see this stunning city from the air.
